The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

Hey it's cool. No one else is posting either. I should probably be more on top of stuff but personal issues have come up.

Spend 100 gold training each of the giant brothers. If I win next round I will have 3 rock giants.
Also full heal them.

The three brothers appear to enjoy the training though they do seem to be growing tired of their tree clubs. On top of it all they now seem to be growing huge beards. For what purpose you cannot fathom as you are a bear.

Keep in mind that I'm not going to update y'alls pictures until everyone's posted an action because it's easier on me that way.

Kaldor and the others seem quite happy that they've stopped bleeding. You, on the other hand, are quite happy that your carpets have ceased becoming a dried blood kind of color.

The ghost you purchased follows you soundlessly. Despite this it seems to be rather close to you. You just hope it doesn’t get too friendly on you.

If you get a trait that doesn’t actively benefit you [such as Casper, who already gets a paralyzing attack getting another] you will instead re-roll. Fun fact: Traits can stack!

If you're curious: Casper regenerates 16hp each week out of 45hp total.

Heal Scar 55 HP (-10gp)
Hire Maldalel, Acolyte. She has a beautiful singing voice, and looks forward to the kind of fame being on a gladiatorial team can bring.

Walking through the religious districts are always the same in this city. You can hear various chants of the various faiths. While to newcomers this might seem a chaotic cocophony designed to drown out other faiths it is something far more beautiful than that. The songs compliment eachother in such a way that you can only feel appreciative of their devotion to the gods.

While you are not unfamiliar with such a thing occurring you ARE a bit more uncomfortable with the elven woman staring at you. She appears to be one of the ‘devoted chanters’ judging by her state of dress and the fact that she is chanting scripture at you. At first you thought her a woman trying to convert you but after a few lines it became apparent that she is only chanting lines that have to do with the arena itself.

A few more minutes of, quite beautiful, chanting later and you get the impression that she wants to join your team. When asked about this she chants “Truly wise are those who follow the gods and blessed are they who question not their will.”

While you aren’t entirely sure about that last part you agree to let her assist your team in the arena. Acolytes are well known for their healing ability and you get the feeling that Scale will appreciate having a second female around to talk about… female things? You aren’t quite sure what it is that commoners do when they’re alone but you figure that females will flock together just as they do with the nobility.

If only it went that smoothly…

Maldalel the Acolyte: [11] [1] [2 (1)]
+10% XP per battle
+20% Health
Earth Weakness (+50% damage from Earth attacks)

Alrighty give me a little while and the next week will begin proper.

Week 5 Begins
With the first month come and gone you look down at the handbook on your desk with a sneer. The Beginner’s Guide to the Arena indeed. You are no longer a beginner you like to think but you take a look in regardless. Opening to a random page you come across an entry describing the Dwarven Mountaineers. You take a peek at the entry to see what it has to say:

Quote from:  The Handbook
Mountaineer: Some legionaries are more adept at remaining unseen and performing tasks for the legion that are more subtle in nature than the average soldier. These Legionaries are referred to as “Mountaineers” due to their unsurpassed familiarity with the mountain slopes. Even outside of the Mountain Home the Mountaineers carry frigid ice shards which they use to defend themselves and their allies. Mountaineers become Hermits.

Huh… You didn’t really know that about them. Maybe the handbook isn’t useless after all. Still you’re too busy to fool around with something like this for long and you resolve to read the rest of it later. For now you look at the proposed fights on your desk and pick out one that is actually worth considering.
Spoiler: Grrrrrr - Accepted (click to show/hide)

Hm…. Could be difficult but you, as always, place it down and begin heading towards the market district to see who is selling what. It’s become something of a habit of yours.
Spoiler: Market (click to show/hide)
Well… They certainly aren’t shy about showing off some pretty amazing items with some more impressive prices. Well most of its out of your reach but… Well you’ll think about it.

Don't forget that you can request a more difficult fight, a less difficult fight, a specific fight or anything really. It never hurts to ask. You can even challenge another player. Or you could possibly challenge yourself but... that wouldn't go well.
