When did they add the XCOM (Free version) Pilot to the game? (They only had a pistol...but still!)

After a bit of discussion, Dr. Vahlen and I settle on Xenobiology


I then do a tour of the Hanger and order two of the interceptors fitted out with Stingray missiles

@crazysheep: Let me know which pilot you'd like and if you want any changes made

I was also introduced to another of our soldiers. One I hadn't known in that other universe, but I am sure he will do well.


Some time passes and our first alien scout craft is spotted over Australia. We send up an interceptor after it



He hits it a few times, but sustains a bit of damage and then loses contact.


A second interceptor is sent up, and this one manages to down it!




We gear up a squad. Time for these troops to start seeing some action!

Well, at least I will have lightning reflexes the next time I try something like this.
But 2 Kills and the right to carry a shotgun are worth a couple days in the sickbay.
Now...did we get those good looking nurses back as well?

B. I'm really liking the heavier narrative element-- it was what made me enjoy the first XCOM run you ran so much, and here I enjoy it as much if not more.
