Except for reaper rounds and the damage boosters, all ammo types are usable by all weapon tiers.

I would have preferred flak ammo to nullify or reduce the flying defence bonus, rather than dealing extra damage. Would rather be able to hit heavy floaters reliably, rather than have a small chance to deal more damage.

The perks (or perks + 1 ammo item) should indeed all stack just fine with one another from what I'm seeing. Assuming they implemented Flak the same as HEAT ammo (which is what the change log points to "New Item: Flak Ammo. [...] Works like HEAT Ammo") it should stack just fine.

That said note that currently being shredded has no effect on the bonus damage from HEAT ammo or Flak ammo. The bonus damage from shredded is applied to the post-armor modified damage number, but happens before the HEAT ammo (and probably Flak ammo) bonus damage is added on top as a flat bonus.

I know we'll need as much air power as possible, so we use some of our funding to order a new interceptor


I also want to get a leg up on our research, so I use the remaining funds to start building a Laboratory and a new generator



With those projects underway, things quiet down for a bit. Of course, the Aliens were hardly going to leave us alone for too long. We get word that Canada is under attack.



Time for more of our rookies to get some combat experience against the aliens!


Geared up, the troops head out for Operation Devil's Empire

A week passes, and we get word that Argentina has abandoned us. Not wholly unexpected, though it was still disappointing to hear.


The fission generator completes a few days later.



Dr. Vahlen informs us shortly afterwards that the research into Xenobiology is complete




Excellent. Now, what to focus on next?

We need a serious firepower boost. :-\

Also, it looks like we're hard for cash.

Meph: Make my character into an airforce pilot instead! Any free aircraft (Asia based, if ever)
It'd hurt to try to get that extremely tiny percentage of even getting a Filipino soldier, seeing the raws and the many percentages ._.

Alien Weapons, though it is kinda stupid to first research alien biology and then weapons, if you don't continue on the biology path.

In Long War it lets you trade sectoid corpses for scientists via Council requests.

@Pencil Art: I have you in my list, I just don't have any available Chinese or NZ characters available. You can check the roster in the OP and claim any unnamed soldier on the list, or you can wait until I get some new recruits to see if we get one you want.
