Another ripple of strangeness washes over the surface, this time plainly coming from a little to the north and west of the fortress, where the remains of a mushroom cloud still connect ground and cloud. As it passes across the plant, the thing's rapid mutation grows momentarily more energetic and chaotic still.

The goblin Priest seems equally confused, and quickly lapses into some kind of fugue state, two of his warriors moving to stand beside him, the others spreading among the hospital tents to check the wounded.

A madman's nonsense-song echoes through the cavern as Elagn attempts to calm his workers, then slip past the Skalewyrm. The thing does something best described as speaking, despite bearing little resemblance to it, a migraine-inducing resonance in the mind itself, somehow carrying meaning;

FEAR UNNEEDED

UNHATED FREE OF HARM

HUNTED THE NEARDARK

SUSTAINED/RESTORED BY HATED

Porks eyes settle upon the plant. He stares directly at it. He begins thinking up strategies, but ultimately decideds that Leeroy Jenkins-style is to best one, should it be needed.
