Day 008

Entered the fort today. Went to the canteen, and took some food, putting it in my backpack for...later. I've claimed a room fairly far out, away from everything else. I want to try to create some of my toys from back home...

*the next few pages are covered in mechanical drawings, mostly focused on how to compress and de-compress air with a pump, and some strange kind of rifle*

Day 009

I was drafted for the military, and then immediately told to avoid wrestling with the other soldiers; my increased strength and agility mean I can easily out-do most of the local militia. I told the captain that I would rather do something else for the time being, as I had some prior knowledge with most weapons, even the more eccentric weapons that have been created here. I asked around for a pick, and one of the miners gave me an old copper pick. I mean, it won't mine everything on the planet, or atleast it shouldn't. But it will do for now, and I've managed to do some basic additions to my room, allowing me to become mostly self-sufficient. Just the way I liked it, back on Earth. I've got some planning to do, so I guess this book's going to get messy. Fast.
