The Stranger, his new Leg-Monster, and Foreman Murdoc engage in rough-and-tumble fisticuffs, made slightly complex by the Leg-Monster's vigorous attempts to eat, infect, or molest both other parties and The Stranger's semi-coherent attempts at reason. Given that the Foreman is much better armed, a more sedate discussion may be in order.

Onul Burntree, Woundbinder cancels cower; First Aid!

The Woundbinder swiftly diagnoses the injured, applies obligatory shots of cave whiskey from the fancy magic canteen, and begins removing shards of metal, cleaning wounds with more magic whiskey, and tying bandages to everything that looks receptive. This works out fairly well, and the victims furthest from the blast, merely stunned to begin with, swiftly return to their tasks, albeit with more careful observation of their weapons.

Those to either side of the unfortunate mage-gunner, however, were caught in the horizontal spray of metal, and need a physician's attention. Said mage seems to have suffered a concussion, in addition to what seem to be broken ribs and numerous lesser, still-worrisome injuries. The Woundbinder is able to stabilize him, and with the physician's help, the whiskey should get him back to his feet before too long. Said physician needs finding, though.

The Woundbinder, having ensured that nobody will bleed to death, runs toward the fortress's inner gates, since the Physician is likely taking shelter in his hospital. The gates are closed.
