Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

[A month to complete it at all, two to do it really well. Months are three weeks, next update will be week three of month one. Your choice whether or not to continue.]

[Randomly thinking in standard RPG party-of-adventurers terms because I get weird on not enough sleep, you lot would appear to have one Combatant (Chaotic), one Infiltrator (Porkins), one Squishy Wizard (Fish), one Face/Diplomancer (Murdoc) and two Crazies (Gwolfski and Moony), with all of the above possessing various crafting or technical skills. Feel free to discuss the specifics.]

Electro-magnets are very easy to make, and we should have ample power to do so after the dam is finished.

If repairs to the fortress are mostly finished, and the dam requires no further supervision, work on hydrolysis machine, and on airtight cloth for flying machine.

(More problematic than electromagnets, which are dirt-simple, is producing actual strong permanent magnets, since they need some weird elements and stuff I don't actually know how to give you.)

Ayyy, a new guy! Give me a name for your character and his/her basic physical appearance along with whatever talents you want to focus on, then the other Homelanders can debrief you in character.

(@Fish: Yep. I've no idea what rocks it comes from, and then the actual magnets are made from some kinda ceramic I don't know what is.)

Name: Cody Rex

He is slim, and his muscles aren't too well defined, his beard is decently long, reaching the center of his chest, its edges have braided hairs hanging down, his head is rather tall, he looks more elflike then most dwarves, His head is narrow, his eyes are recessed (Think thats right XD)

Skills: Novice Lasher, Novice Dodger, Novice Armor User, Competent Carpenter, Novice Animal Trainer, Novice Miner

I've gone for a kinda weak character, I really don't know entirely what I want to specialize in other then having a little bit of combat fun.
Hope this is enough information. Oh and, I was looking through some of the eariest pages, whats this magic thing? has it changed or has it been removed?

<<Magic is still in effect, and currently lessons are being handed out, so you can learn that if you want. Normal physics applies, and there's some weird eldritch stuff that happens from time to time, but otherwise most things will be explained in character.>>

<<Also, put stuff that isn't an action in brackets or parentheses, and actions in bold. Speech can just be in quotes.>>

(Neodyium requires advanced tech to seperate from its cousin elements, we cant get it)
Design and build fort's first relay, then make schematics for diffrent electronic circuits and finally a 8 bit cpu that runs something similar to brainfuck
(yes ik, big goal, but i start small and go big, so it should work)

I arrive at the fort, I was so new here that I didn't even learn the fort's name, as soon as I arrive I ask around for the person I should talk to about my work orders, I had no idea why the heck I was here, I just felt like I needed to leave the mountain homes, I also wanted to see beyond the mountains, which is one of the reasons I assumed I came here for.... (Oh and btw, my character WILL not know about the incident, even though he was brought here by it.)
