Come on? Realy? It doesn't take THAT much work to build crude nukes, the only hard part is obtaining the fissionable material, and I would assume that magic could be used to easily seperate isotopes of uranium. After that, making a basic gun type explosive is child's play. The design is so simple and so sure, it wasnt even tested before use in combat. The only realy difficult thing is seperating the U235 from the U238.

I'm basically assuming that building the dwarves up to the capabilities needed for even that with only a few people who possess a reasonable understanding of the physics involved is going to be a time-consuming and difficult process. If you're really set on getting nukes as a group, I guess I'm willing to make the process not too difficult, since I like explosions as much as the next guy.]
