[Let's say two months is six weeks. At the end of week two, a demigod fell out of the sky and exploded. Everybody's now spending the next few hours and days dealing with that. You will be informed when time begins moving quickly enough to be relevant to you, and I apologize for your inability to act.]

The group works their way back to camp over about fifteen minutes, with the goblin wounded, having stopped moving, evidently having difficulty starting again.

Having been warned by Murdoc's second runner, the remaining camp guards are less surprised than they might have been at the goblins, plainly not enemies or prisoners.

The goblin civilians stumble among the simple military tents of the camp site, where, after a brief negotiation with Chaotic Skies, the dwarven woundbinders guide them into shelter and begin doing what they can. The small amounts of simple opiate anaesthetic resulting from various experiments with poppy are proving to be immensely helpful in the matter of treating burns of middling severity. For the few truly severe burns, those whose sufferers had to be partially carried in, there is little but sips from the dregs of the enchanted canteen and simple poultices that can be done.

The priest and his warriors, either less-injured or simply better at hiding it, pause to study the ruins of the dwarven fortifications, plainly noting the bodies littering walls and, in places, partially covered with rubble.

There must have been some hidden flaw in the living stone, the shockwave really wasn't so severe as to tear down mountains.

The priest approaches Murdoc:

"Are trapped without fortress? Entrance fallen. No doors without grave-runes on these hills. Family within stone?"

The mayor clears his throat, trying to summon up the language that was just inserted rather unceremoniously into his psyche, and answers in the native goblin tongue. "We dug out an emergency tunnel. The entrance was nearly a total loss, but fortunately most of us were inside when that being fell. We still have many more inside; this was mostly a group of soldiers and workmen making sure we could get out of the mountain and checking for survivors."

((I figure I can handwave this off as something I studied a while back if any of the dwarves are suspicious, lol.)

(If anyone feels they have an action, I'd suggest they take it. Regardless, I intend to update today.)

Porkins ((No small band of guards. He left the guards behind when he snuck behind the gobbos, since dwarves in clanky metal armor arent very stealthy)) sneaks back to where the guards are waiting and tells them that the Gobbos werent hostile. After ignoring their snorts of disbelief and general racist comments, he sends the guards to go help woth rubble clearing.

(Moods are sort if like being in prison, only you get something useful out of it. You choose to forgo action/participation for a long period of time in exchange for a powerful result.)

(On the other hand, yes, this fast mode period is about done.)

As Murdoc begins his conversation with the goblin priest, Magus Patham's mechanical familiar, previously having remained next to its injured creator, seems to perk up. It waits for the Priest to finish talking, then settles down. In the mind of its creator, it announces that it's "Processing". Patham, with help from a Woundbinder, manages to sit up, finding that his ribs have already begun to repair themselves, likely as a result of the overloaded Geothaum interacting with the enchantment on his polymer canteen. True recovery is unlikely to come soon, but so long as he breathes carefully and doesn't move much, he's conscious and able to interact with those around him. The tend is currently being shared with two of the dwarf battle-medics-turned-emergency-doctors, and, on another cot, a badly injured goblin woman with her child.

Porkins' efforts to maintain surprise if necessary having proven somewhat pointless, he retrieves his squad and heads back to camp, quickly moving to help the Serfs retrieve bodies.

The Dam team finds no further damage to their project. While a small team volunteers to remain behind and monitor the Dam, it might now be advisable to check on the Moody dwarf in the cavern workshops, and on the upper fortress itself, since no news has been received in the aftermath of the Fall. Do any live? The shockwaves came from above, surely the residential areas, storage, and workshop block must have taken the brunt of the damage.

The goblin Priest appears momentarily surprised by the Mayor's speech, then cautiously replies in the same language:

"Ah, one of the steelborn can speak a tongue beyond his own. How singular. I am glad to hear that your folk remain safe under stone, this day is not one that would be improved by further death, further glory for the Blood God. I thank you, again and true, for this gift to me and mine of sanctuary in dark days."

"By and by, where did you learn this dialect? I have not heard it spoken beyond my own memory since I was myself young."

[I apologize for the late update, and for the inevitable grammar or spelling errors that result from my exhaustion. I spent rather more time than I would have preferred over the last week working on time-consuming and mentally exhausting projects, and ended up getting home far later than I prefer tonight.]
