The stone hits the shard squarely, knocking it a few inches. After a moment, the rock in direct contact with the shard begins to go cherry red.

If the rock shatters due to pressure, he should be fine, if not he just tells the others he thought he saw something

Total assessment of fortress stability, as best as we can. If it shook hard enough for the people in the caverns to feel, we need to make sure the roof's not coming down on our heads.

The few woundbinders on the surface have very little to do. Those who survived the initial disaster were largely healed past the point of useful first aid by Patham's display. Patham himself, on the other hand, is severely wounded, with burns, broken bones, and thaumic injury aplenty. Application of the various available medical magic would seem to be helping, with fine whiskey from its enchanted polymer canteen used to wash wounds and one of the scarce enchanted poultices plastered to his torso.  When a shot of the enchantment-carrier whiskey is being administered, he wakes briefly, coughing, then blacks out again from pain and psychic strain.

The rock slowly goes fluid, enthusiastically spitting embers. The shard does not seem to be losing its heat as yet.

Engineers and mining technicians swarm over the inside of the fortress, checking the health of the stone and the state of the supports. Most of the truly damaged sections were already in poor condition, but hairline fractures and bowing trusses speak of a general need for structural upgrades. Another event of that magnitude would likely destroy large sections of the fortress, but things seem stable for now. Emergency struts and molten forge-slag wall sealant are rushed to the damaged areas, beginning immediate damage control.

One of the emergency exits has been determined to be the best option, and apropos of the fort's structural condition, miners rather than dynamite are ready for the order to breach it, a process expected to take around half an hour.

See what I can do to help. Help anywhere possible. Do general damage-control-ish things.

Investigate for a nearby reason for the river to stop; get the workers a good ways from the site, in case a cave-in upriver has temporarily stopped it and will break soon and flood the area

Investigate fortress relocation possibilities, since it's kinda hard to repair bedrock. Could we go deeper and dig into the floors of the caverns? Or would that just bury us further if the fort above collapses?
