(My own schedule renders updates highly unreliable. There should be one up today. They currently represent a week of game-time.)

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

[Fair warning, I wrote this hastily at 2:50 AM, expect typos and shittiness.]

With help from three of the Homelanders, efforts to repair damage to electronic systems begin swiftly and continue apace. Most of the damage, unfortunately, was to the most advanced research models, since the event didn't effect simple devices much. The basic things' damage, mainly further issues with their poor insulation, are repaired within hours, but much of the rest of the week is spent reconstructing lost developmental items.

Partway through the week one human by the apparent name of Moony attempts for the second time o kidnap a civilian, this time the Magus Patham. Given that his first attempt was driven by an apparent urge to convert the living into baggage, and that he swiftly resorts to violence, this attempt is met with police brutality and an internment in the cells. All other factors being equal, he is likely to spend at least two weeks in solitary confinement, cooling his heels.

The unpredictable engineer, Gwolfski, succumbs to a Strange Mood, returning to his shoddy research shack with its attendant forging setup, apparently to advance the cause of steam. His co-conspirator, one Porkins, aids him in this endeavor with deliveries of food and material.

Elagn, having given what help he can to the electronics problem, begins testing of electrolysis machinery. The one functional generator, plugged into a water wheel downstream from the dam site, is used during off-hours and breaktime to run the experimental large-scale hydrogen/oxygen production machine. While the produced gasses prove problematic to separate, they provide a perfect opportunity to test the air-tightness of various proposed gasbag designs. Fine silk, waxed cloth, and simple leather prove inadequate, with some portion of the gas rapidly escaping even the smallest holes, and are likely too heavy for a proper flying machine.

An architect from the Mountainhome develops a sudden and uncharacteristic change in his personality, suggesting that he may have joined the ranks of Homelanders. It becomes difficult to tell, as he immediately claims a forge under the influence of another Strange Mood, forging a weapon of some kind.

Chaotic begins actively cultivating a relationship with the lower classes of the fortress, in addition to comprehensive information-gathering. While to two are somewhat at cross purposes, he gets rather better at hiding over the course of the week, and fosters a general, if apathetic, good feeling among a few families of Serfs.

Alchemists and doctors from the Mountainhome, acting on Homelander information none of the aforesaid have the experience to use, make great leaps in the development of various drugs and techniques. Future medical needs will have the benefit of painkilers, antiseptic principles, and anesthetic, with further research into the uses for low-concentration plant products continuing apace. Additionally, a crude form of marijuana has been produced from the flowering heads of an early fiber-hemp crop, the apparent farmers' tradition raising general morale somewhat.

Imic has completed hammerfury the wallops of doom

It is a silver warhammer. It is circled with bands of steel. It is circled with bands of iron. On the item is an image of a dwarf, a warhammer, and a badly - drawn goblin in microcline. The dwarf is holding the warhammer. The dwarf is striking down the goblin. On the item are some runes. The runes are glowing oddly.

(To be clear, unless you specify abilities for the object this turn, it's just a well-made hammer. No artifacts of powers-as-the-plot-demands.)

(That's what I thought. Certainly. I'd prefer moods take more than a week, but detecting goblins is fine. Don't expect it to be particularly useful though.)
