[Something fairly useful, actually. The ability to either put people in a coma for surgery or outright kill them in a reasonably humane alternative to either unsedated operation or allowing the severely wounded to die horribly of septic shock/ballistic termination.]

Pull some more workers (preferably the ones that seem in the worst spirits) off the dam to work on adapting our motors into construction equipment. It's less physical and decidedly less dangerous.

Attempt to be nice to the military whenever I see them because apparently everything we do upsets them.

Special short update!

Moony: As you head for a member of the useful workforce with murder in your eyes, a mailed fist smashes into the base of your skull, rendering you instantly unconscious.

An unknown period of time later, you wake in a locked cell, illuminated by a single lantern. Sharing it with you are a pile of tools and, on a crude cot, what appears to be a dwarf. A cursory examination proves said dwarf to be a maimed pile of bandages, missing most of its limbs. Judging by the color of its skin, it's suffering from severe blood poisoning, possibly gangrene. It's still alive, but only barely, and is unlikely ever to wake again.

Cavern Travellers: The two have only barely begun their trip back, and will not have returned for another several days.
