There is a muffled explosion from where the shed is.  On closer inspection, it appears that stuffing a large sack of acorns and similar objects into a big fire pit is a bad, albeit tasty, idea.

-blaze walks into the dining hall followed by his goblin friend. Both are wearing green cloaks that seem to be woven from still liveing plant life. Underneath blaze's more runes than ever before ,some unfamiliar and curveing, adorn his armor.-

"Ummmm guys.....we're back from our trip....uhhhh.....what happened here? And why is the ambiance so low?"

-after being briefed on events since his departure-

Guess I left at a bad time. Or a good one depending on how you look at it. And now I get back and I can't show you guys the things I learned becasue of the low ambiance. Oh well, it will regenerate.

In the mean time I have plenty of stories to tell. I have seen elves shape trees into weapons of war and homes. I have seen a human hero slay a great Titan who's breath would freeze a man to his bones.  I have heard music so soothing the body refuses to move. And I have learned magic that could save the unborn of dieing mothers....And the mothers....maybe....."

"And how did you manage all this in such a short time?"

"Destinations that were close to each other, and fast mounts. But I would not call several months a short time. I'm no expert in the new skills I have learned but I'm passable.  And look! The elves even taught me how to painlessly remove scars. See, can't even tell I was burned by magic fire the time with the diamond beast. But dang does it draw lots of power! "

-blaze starts talking about the energy required for the things he has learned, rune variations, elven mystic script (elven equivalent of runes), shaping trees, first aid, and biology way over the heads of the normal dwarves.-

"So you can heal the burn victims from Gwolfy's failed inventions?"

"No.  He cannot.  Nobody can right now, because there's kind of no magic anywhere.  I have no idea how you worked all of that over there.  I'm not going to ask either."

{While that looks like a remarkably good explanation for why you weren't around, I can't say I like your already sue-ish character having too much more in the way of versatility/power/"myfficness".}

{Please stop trying to make the thing act in your posts. It is a fairly major NPC. If you want to do something to or with it, attempt to interact with it and I'll do something during the updates.}

((If you think I'm to sue-ish your free to keep the field low for a while....or put me up agianst Magic disrupting enemies....you can ensure I use a lot of energy for the complex spells....be creative. We might want to move this to OOC though. What's the link agian.))

{The easiest way to prevent sueness is to nerf you, not to prevent anybody from using magic. Besides, barring a fairly massive effort on y'all's part, the magic is staying low effectively forever.}

((Ok then let's discuss how to do that without any jarring changes where something I could do before won't work right. Of course if the field is going to stay low then that seems nerfed enough considering Im left with mostly melee combat, the acasional rune cast, and 10 throwing daggers. But if we are going to talk about it we should go to OOC))
