{Er, I just really do not have the time to post lately. I apologize. And sure, I really didn't intend the Mayor thing to be of much consequence.}
{Eh, whatever, here. It'll probably suck, and likely come off as far too arrogant, but meh, it's late here, and I've obviously stalled the thread.}

I stand up, seeming mildly nervous, and walk to the... Er, stage?

"Thank you for your recognition, Sir."

"You, ah. Your... Contributions to this fortress are without doubt the greatest leaps in technology since the gods gave us our knowledge of machines, and in truth many here would say that you must have a... Similar source."

"Reading behind what you said, Sir, I would hardly work with Those Below for mere knowledge. No, these tools of destruction came from my own mind alone, without any help, divine or... Below."

One might think such suspicions groundless, but in truth my appearance and manner give good cause for it. I rarely speak except to give orders, my eyes look distinctly odd, and I still carry myself as if I was an unusually tall human, not an unusually short dwarf. I smell of brimstone and burning, and build machines with greater destructive capacity than many Dragons. A suspicious dwarf indeed, especially given the old stigma of madness, and my obvious geniality towards an Elf.

"Ah, and, what are your intentions for the future?"

"I will likely continue to develop these tools of ruin, but I do have other ideas, better suited to those who do not want to destroy things. If I may suggest, allowing some bread to become moldy would not be a terrible idea, for several reasons."

"What a novel idea. Ah, may I ask-"

"Forgive me, but I do not enjoy public speaking, and I do have a prior engagement. If you or anyone else have any questions, my door is always open."

I bow to the Mayor, and to the crowd, then step down and walk out of the room.

{I'm fairly sure you haven't posted in response to my edit because you didn't get an alert for it. This should fix that. If there was another reason, and I can think of some, I apologize.}

Leaving the room, I meet Blaze in the hall.

"Where's Wolf? Could have sworn I just saw him leave."

{I feel like this section would be easier done in small sections, an action and a speechwordbubblething. Also, I keep typing 'and' when I mean 'a' or 'an'. This is getting on my nerves rather badly.}

4maskwolf hurried up from behind them as they enter the room, "Sorry about that, needed to put the finishing touches on something.  I'm here now."

Ahhhh....good to see you wolf.
(Endless leads the others into his dinning room)
Marble floors and furniture.....nothing as ornate as the fortress dinning hall, but still quite pleasant.

"Good to see you."

I take a seat in a corner.

"Nice place, Blaze. I should probably make some kind of effort, but there's so much to do..."

"Back home I would never have bothered with this, I was not much of a decorator. But here...I guess I got a little bored"

(Endlessblaze pulls a small book out of his pocket)

4maskwolf takes the notes and briefly flips through them, scanning over the runes listed, when he finally got to the back page, he started slightly before handing the book back.

"I see you've done quite thorough research into the slabs I pointed out to you.  Pray tell, though, what is that rune in the back?  I've been doing research into discovering new runes of power, but I never thought to try anything in that shape."

"Best I can tell, it has to do with the mind, but it does nothing on its own."

"If I figure out what goes with it.....well....."

"I want to stay away from mind control but in an emergency......"

"Less complex uses could be a calming rune"

Finished up the crafts, I piled those finished goods so high it's like a blue dungpile! Near fifty objects, about seven of them crowns.
I woke up with another message today, from the overseer. It said we need plump helmet roast. Morale must be low, people need full bellies. I don't know much about cooking, I'm more of a merchant myself, but I know that overcooked roast is better than undercooked roast, thats what my mama always said!

I'm more of a people person myself, all this cooking and crafting isn't my thing. I got another message today, said we need scepters. Honestly we barely have any rooms and now we need mounds of amateurish (yet impressive nevertheless, in my opinion) rock crafts? Strange. Such is the life of a migrant.

I complained to somebody in charge recently they had this to say.
'Okay, so, to start with, I'm going to assume that all of the Starting Seven were Bay12ers, regardless of not actually having that many posters yet. That said, I'm acting under the assumption that dwarves are drunken idiots who will consider any orders given them with the same intoxicant-ridden respect, so we have a fairly good chance of being able to tell them what to do. Other than that, I don't think we have an in-game style semiomniscient Overseer, so much as actual governmental figures, like the Mayor, the Expedition Leader, and any targets nobles that show up.'

Firstly, WOW this guy has a low opinion of the common working man! Respect to him for telling me to my face though. I would call it bravery except I'm Very Weak and Slow to Heal so he could probably take me in a fight.

Secondly I've been duped! Some evil genius must be living the good life swanning around in microcline helmets holding microcline scepters eating -Plump Helmet Roast-x10. I'll keep an eye out for the scoundrel I tell you what!
