Well, yesterday.

Found out I'm going to be able to work (barring any changes)at a research institute. And I get a full patent next week for $600, which I will then be able to study at said institute!

I also saw NASA's new space-age fertilizer. Just add water, and it's fully tunable!

Not something that made me feel better so much as something that made the missus feel better.

Spoiler: I got her to hold a little spider! (click to show/hide)

She's had a deep seated fear of roaches and palmetto bugs that I've been helping her work on for years, so that's a big step, she's held stuff like a little baby walking stick and a tiny little katydid, and though a spitting spider is exactly as harmless as either of those it's still a different class of "eek" reaction, so go her!

I was worried because I lost track of what I assume was one of the daughters of our big pretty porch spider, Skarlett, but I found her today!

She was in a crap spot by the corner of the back yard where a big storm would wipe her out so I had no problem with gently gathering her web up onto a rake so I could transfer her to the front porch where her mom (or possibly aunt) was so successful last year.

Just had a really great movie-watching session with a friend I haven't talked to in a while, and we watched both the latest muppet movies.

It's good to be together again :'D

It was a very fun night. Now to wait for No Mans Sky >:3c

Messing around with Windows 7 partitions to remove all traces of Windows 10. Also the constant orchestra of system notifications from this.
