Yeah, if you're ever curious how many seconds have passed since midnight Jan. 1st 1970, that's the number in the quote tag. God only knows how people could tell what time or day it was before Unix, but it probably involved going outside.

There's a difference between recursion and repetition though, which the meme usually fails to capture.

"Going Meta" is partially related, in that you are discussing the discussion (which can become recursive, with discussing the discussion of the discussion) of some thing that exists or happened-- but in this case "Meta" just means "About something".  Such as say, "Meta data"-- data about data. (Song title, clip length, codec type, whatever in the case of sound files. Other kinds of data for other kinds of files. etc.)

Simply repeating something over and over is not recursion.
