Titanfall: A Frontier Rising [SG]
« on: February 26, 2015, 04:21:53 pm »

¨Space, the final frontier. Huh, people used to say that didn't they? Well the frontier is open, we opened the flood gates, relativistic travel... They said it would make us evolve as a species. All that's come from it is war and blood shed¨ -final words of your friend, he died in your arms before you could get him to the medic in time. These words have been ringing in your ears ever since.
Your friend didn't even see the half of it, he died in a riot on a distant frontier planet, its been several years and the revolution is in full swing, its no longer riots- its full on war now.

You are a pilot, a Titan Pilot.
Titans, giant mechs, are the new unit in the battle field with pilots to drive them in short supply.
Titan pilots are hard to get because of the physical and mental strain of piloting a titan and the needed ability to survive a fight outside of the suit as well. You are one of few who has passed Titan Pilot training.

But who are you?

Name:
Gender:
Faction:
((faction options-
IMC: an interplanitary military and political force, they keep the peace and control the human colonies.
Militia: the people who have started an uprising against the IMC and its cruel laws against the frontier))

It can be two character SG if everyone is ok with that.
The campaigns will probably different unless they find themselves in the same fight.

Isn't Titanfall one word?

Titanfall one word?
Just to clarify: this is based on an existing IP? (I don't really feel like reading a wiki)

"Intellectual Property". I use it as a catchall term for "any combination of books, movies and games set (if there's more than one) in the same universe". I guess stuff like logos, slogans, patents and trademarks are also "intellectual property", but I don't mean them in this context.
More specifically, there's some kind of video game series that goes by the name TitanFall.

It will probably be easier if there is only one character so I vote one character.

You are Edgar Stokes.
You thought pilot training would be easy, that it would make you some hero of war.
On the last week of training, just as the riots in the frontier were breaking into organized battles and the rebels were turning into the organized war machine the militia.
His words ring in your ears
¨Space, the final frontier. Huh, people used to say that didn't they? Well the frontier is open, we opened the flood gates, relativistic travel... They said it would make us evolve as a species. All that's come from it is war and blood shed¨ -final words of James K. Arnold, your childhood friend, a fellow pilot in training

The training has hardened your body and mind, your friends death has made you distant from your fellow pilots, you are having a hard time grasping the need for war, your dreams of becoming a war hero are muddled with the thoughts off how quick death can come about.

You have been stationed to a distant planet on the frontier, gotta start somewhere, you have been told to clear the city of all militia forces, there are 5 other pilots and hundreds of grunts and spectre soilders but before you hit the battle field you need to hit the armory and get your load out ready.

An officer on base aproaches you,"So would you like to set up your Titan first or get your personal equipment ready? The Titan won't be ready for awhile."
