Turn 19
Alphonse takes the Shoes and 6d.

Helena runs 19m towards Hordor and Gilbert.

Malcolm runs 22m towards Helena.

Gilbert gives the door a solid chop. (10) The door shudders and cracks. He probably couldn't open it now if he unlocked it, but if he keeps chopping he should be able to take it down.

Hordor gives the room another once-over. (Visual Acuity: 7) Nope, nothing here.

Helena blinked twice at the already bloody and bruised Malcolm. Did he really want to hurt himself like that!? She opened her mouth to speak, but her attention was arrested by the nearby torch. Huh.

She moves over to the torch and gives it a thorough inspection.

Malcolm draws his shoddy arming sword and charges at the desk. (Acrobatics: 12) He clears it and gives the door a solid whack. (18) His sword shudders as he cleaves into the decrepit wood.

Helena jogs to the torch and inspects it. (Visual Acuity: 5) A burning torch in an ordinary sconce.

Hordor waits.

Alphonse runs 22m towards the rest of the group. (Update your Acrobatics bonus, jerk.)

Gilbert gives the door another chop. (12) With a shuddering crash, the door falls.


The door reveals a staircase that leads down. It is the only way forward.
