At this rate, go ahead! It's looking like it might be November before I can even make progress on this fort and I completely forgot the forums existed for 3 weeks. XD

Oh yeah. Let me put some finishing touches and rework the ending because it was stupid and let's get this ball rolling.

Clearly, a grand temple is a base necessity for our monstrous fortress to come.

we need a site with marble. marble is beautiful.

if we can manage a site with a volcano and marble and coal....well....hehehehhHAHAHAHAHAh

but sadly that comes at the cost of not having very flat ground. I'm more in favor of building in a forest.

I'm not! :D Challenges are fun. Besides. MurderMachines' surface, despite being easy to work with, was incredibly boring. ALSO I'm so very sorry. I completely forgot about the forums and that I was playing a turn of MurderMachines and a part of the planning for this. I've been working and planning for spending my first Christmas together with the gf. But uh... that's not like that would take up so much time I couldn't play around with the fort, I've just been spending my entertainment time Undertale, Clash of Clans, and a little bit on Runescape more recently. I am still definitely in for a turn on the next fort and as per my two cents, I'd like to have some sort of freakish occurrence on a semi-regular basis, so I'd suggest settling in an eviler biome. Then again, there's always the potential for us corrupting the land ourselves. Hehhehheh.

What say y'all about having adventurer interactions, now that that's a thing that can be done? Yay/nay? Any ideas on how that'd be done? ( Something like the Museum succession game but not as complex, perhaps? )

EDIT: If we start within this week, can I have the last week of December? My gf likes to watch me play Dwarf Fortress and I'd like it if we could do our input as a couple. Besides, we'll both have to learn the new version anyway. ( Just expect the update in a lump sum and be willing to wait after the new year... Busy celebrating the holiday and such. )

EDIT EDIT: What parameters should we use for generating our world?

I'd contentedly take a turn second or third in line, but whatever works works.

In regards to locale, ideal situations would be...

- Volcano - Magma. Obsidian short swords for the honor guard. Presence of vile beasts to laugh at and plunge in after. Dumping zone for prisoners of war. Potential for entirely obsidian lined temple. Tavern on top of volcano?
- Near necromancer tower - Incredibly difficult to survive, but fun to write about. Themes of isolation, weakness, and digging deeper and deeper to combat the threat of undeath. Goes great with volcano. Undead tavern on top of volcano?
- Evil biome - Never get to see the topside, so a bit too inhospitable for comfort. Regular huskification of wild life kinda cool. Regular huskification of caravans and invasions kinda cool. Husk tavern on top of volcano? If also glacier, would be blood on ice ideal.
- Savage good biome. Corrupting a pure land with vile wickedness and industrialization. Need I say more?

What version will the new fort use?

What the fuck. Is some random undorfed recruit now our new Darkwing? Hell, even Darkwing just managed to kill two clowns before he went down. It's beyond me that a frigging recruit in the Official Voidspawn Feeding Detachment managed a triple kill on Forgotten Armokhumping Beasts.

0.42, when it's fully stable. In the mean time, I'm redoing the ending because it sucked super hard before.
