"Grah! These cowards, attacking Chicks when warriors are here!" Sarco snarls as he brings out a spear. "Can you fly me closer good rider, so that I may send these villains down to meet the earth!"

"You got it, Lizardman. We'll go into knife-fighting range! Keep them off me, okay? They'll try and claw our wings off! But, we need to distract them from the caravan." Skawatariari caws.

Fire Bolt the nearest harpy with clear line-of-effect whenever possible. Try to keep an energy advantage, favoring altitude over airspeed.

"Stay high, yes?"

"...But, that's no fun! Can't we charge right into the center of them? You could use a fireballs or something at point black range!" He says.

"Get us about 100 feet away from them."
Once in range, Hex and Eldritch Blast.

Aldeth got an old, grizzled pilot with handsome, salt and pepper feathers. He's perhaps a bit absent minded...

"...Wait, what? What's a feet? We need to convert to Kenktric! A claw equals four feathers, by the way, and six feathers equal one scratch equals a half of a squelch, which equals plus or minus about a dozen nicks...how much is a feet in feathers, you think?" He asks, as you blithely fly toward the ground.

Aldeth's eyes widen as the grounds slowly nears.
"No idea. How about closer than you can walk in a minute? Please tell me you have minutes!"

"What's a 'Men-ate'? Is that like the shake of a wing? I can walk a nick, in a shake of a wing. I can shake a wing, in half time I scratch my beak...takes me two scratches of my beak to count a real scratch...funny how that works out..."

"Of course!"
Aldeth fires off an Eldritch Blast in frustration at a clear part of the sky.
"Get us close enough so I can hit with that!"

"I'd say that's about a hundred-fifty claws, give or take a nick. Why didn't you just say so?" He applies, ruffling his feathers and changing direction.

"That sounds like an exceptionally bad idea. Not only will that make it more difficult to aim, but we will have fewer opportunities to watch them burn; hold a steady course for me, now!"

Kawtari had almost stood up on her mount, her meteor hammer ready. She'd have to angle it so not to hit her mounts wings...

"We should stay back, Wata! I'll protect the chicks."

((I realise that with the order of things Kawtari can't be on the main bird with Wataklano. ))

((You never exactly chose your mount before. You could if you wanted to be. :P ))

((That'd mean I'd have hit the ground with the rest when that bird went down. And presumably Kawtari would of had Strong Opinions on the pirates then threatening the chicks. ))

((No, it would have meant you fell off, before the bird crash landed. I didn't mention Wataklano in the intro either, remember?))

Tadhg is still very uneasy about this whole flying thing, and he really doesn't want to think about how far down the ground is, but he orders his birdman to fly in closer so he can pierce a badly or two with his javelins. The sober javelins, that is.
