"+I figure I should start rousing them...these things make me feel a bit uneasy."+ Tak says, flinching away. He makes his way out of the room.

Kawtari trails the line of bugs over to the cold firepit-a bed of coals and ash in a stone chimney. As she watches, she notices there's a small hole in the bricks at the back, in the shadows-and more of the bugs seem to be squirming through there as she watches, chewing their way around the edge.

Aldeth stands and moves the roach off from over the table and twists off the roach's head, before beginning to dissect it.

As soon as Aldeth removes the head of the roach (it's legs twitching amusingly) there is a terrible stench in the room. The smell seems to drive the insects into a frenzy-Kawtari is forced to smash several of them as they leap at Samara, trying to bite.

That's when the reinforcements arrive. The bricks first bulge, then crumble outward-spilling a living flood of Roaches into the dining hall! Three large swarms congregate and spill out, but more and more of them seem to be coming out of the hole, as well.

Coney hops to her feet, digging in her pack.

"Yech! Everyone gets yahself some fiyah! Only way to kill em all!"

Player turn!

((The table is made of wood, right?

edit: as well as the obvious follow up question: If it is made out of wood, does it look breakable (with a succesful strength check, of course), or would it be too srturdy?))

Run for the flask of oil on the table, pour it over the maul and light it on fire on the nearby candle.

Samara and Aldeth both release barrages of magical energy on the bugs! Though maybe they should have chosen the same target...

Aldeths blast sends bug parts flying in a gory rain, but Samara's bolt seems to have less effect-she burns up a few dozen, but it's no damage to the swarm. She thinks her spells needs more explosive force, less heat...

Spoiler: Zap (click to show/hide)

Tadhg, meanwhile, foolishly lights his maul on fire! It starts to char a bit...

((Your hammer has a hardness of 5, and 10 'HP'. Every turn it's flaming, it takes 1d6 damage, minus the hardness rounded up-the number which is then halved because wooden hammers you doused with oil are vulnerable to fire. :P))

Meanwhile, the bugs swarm forth-the swarms flow onto the table, snapping and biting at Aldeth! The encircle her!

She takes 11 damage!

Spoiler: crunch crunch crunch (click to show/hide)

Kawtari also lights a torch!

Coney meanwhile, abandons her rummaging and brings out her swords and tries to slice some of the bugs off her friend.

"Get off yer pests!" she says, swinging ferociously! Her frenzied assault manages to drive off a large portion of the bugs already reduced by Aldeth's attack-the surivors go scurrying back to their holes...or rejoin the other, larger swarms.

Spoiler: slash slash (click to show/hide)

Sarco's turn!

You all hear a suspicious cracking sound coming from the other two fireplaces as well...

Sarco scrambled around the table to face the swarm. Abandoning the idea of trying to smash the hoards of bugs with his hammer, he instead summons the wisps out from the depths of their orb. Informing them that it is time to feed these bugs he gathers them around his arms, before thrusting first one, then the other, into the mass of insects to unleash their powers upon it.

Move next to the bugs, summon the wisps from the orb, the use shocking grasp on the swarm. Action surge, use shocking grasp on the swarm once again!

Sarco summons his hungry wisps for some pest control. The Wisps dart in and out of the swarm, snuffing out tiny lives with every pass. They manage to cut through a swath of them, but many still remain.

Spoiler: Bug Zapper (click to show/hide)

((Also, right is right and fair is fair, but using your orb twice in a round will count as two uses out of it's duration. ))

Bugs still swarm from the hole in the wall-they replenish the swarms numbers!

Aldeth shrieks and jumps down from the table, running away.
Disengage to C13 and shift Hex to Swarm 1.
