Sarco moved over to a table and sat down, watching Tadhg make a fool of himself as he waited for the others from the party to get into the tavern.

Encouraged by the cheers (and not the least affected by his party members' hatin') Tadhg resolves to top his headstanding feat off with lifting a tavern wench on each arm and dancing a jig, all while singing some bawdy song or other he can't really remember the lyrics to.

Akira goes to the tavern.

Akira arrives next, drifting into the tavern with a stylish swirl of autumn leaves. Very dramatic, one wonders if she planned it...

Akira sneaks behind Tadhg and sings for him. That month as a bard really paid off.

Fail!

Akira realizes at some point the song she's trying to lip sync Tadhg with, is not the song he's trying to he perform-in fact, the barbarian seems to be singing louder to be heard over her. It sounds like an argument between two men or a very weird vocal trick, not a sonorous duet.

Of course, everyone is pretty well blinkered by this time anyway, and there's little that can stop the party now.

"I hunt the Wrong, tyrant-slayer. I hunt the creatures that leak through creation, congealing in drops of should-not-be."

She slid the idol out of her pack and placed it on the table, and one's eyes could almost see movement in the entwined limbs and bulbous eyes.

"They are neither angel nor demon. They are madness, because where they came from there is no sanity. I have talked to others involved in the slaying of these monsters, and they name them Aberration. It is fitting enough. They bear no good will for living things - not in hate, but in carelessness of stepping on insects. They encroach in ever more numbers, these days, and not enough step up to stem the tide.

It is possible this mad wizard had contact with them, and they left their mark on his mind. If so, I will do what I can for him. Strange things can lurk in ruins, this age."

The Dwarf strokes his grey-streaked beard thoughtfully.

"Aye, madness, aberration, chaos. All got names for it. Don't live as long as I've with out seeing some odd things...

I think we'll talk more once you've unraveled this mystery to the satisfaction of one and all. If you're right...then I would agree, there would be better places for armor like this to be, maybe. Ya think you can prove yourself worthy of it, maybe? I see in between yer lines.

Ya know the old kenning, o' course...

'Not afright of the abyss ye may be, but if ye look it in the eye, it might become ye'? "
he says, solemnly.

Akira would like to get a pitcher of A Passionate Warrior's Kiss. ... Man that name brings her back to that one time with Bain. Just goes to show, never get blackout drunk with criminals or you'll end up naked in bed with your best mate and your boss.
