Additional Types of Glass

Is it possible to mod some in, let's call it "Blue Glass", so it appears in the stockpile menu among the other three types and is also treated by the Glass Furnace as Glass.

Copied the raws stated in the wiki into Inorganic_Other.txt and renamed it to blue glass, but that didn't cause it to appear in the stockpile menu under glass.

Names are pretty much not a thing that matter at all.

Glass is not an inorganic.

But I guess the single tag on top of each file does like [OBJECT:INORGANIC]? Which one to take to add glass?

Glass does not have raws, sorry, should have clarified.

Not really.  You can make a new inorganic material with the IS_GLASS token, but it won't show up in the default glass furnace.  You can make a new furnace that lets you turn specific kinds of sand into specific special glass items, but you'd need to define a new reaction for each item.

Feared that. So probably the best to define it as inorganic metal for now with IS GLASS token. So I don't need dozend of custom reactions.

Sorry to necro, but just in case its still of interest: I had a mod back in the day in a previous version that did this.
I had called it '+Crystal Glass+ is Just the Beginning, V.2' in the DFFD.  I was admittedly pretty proud of it.
One could abscond with stuff I have there if one wanted.

As of v42, the Glass Furnace is included in the list of buildings, and you can use Categories to make submenus.
