Two eyes on stalks, two claws, paralysing... it being an aberration suggests to me it's a Eye of The Deep.

In case, this is probably more like an 'eye-of-the-swamp'. After umpty thousands of years lurking in the sewers and eating people who don't pay attention to environmental dangers, he's acclimated himself.

Well, it is a giant snake monster lady. She'd totally eat a submarine. (No, I don't really think it's a submarine. Some type of fishing gear or a monster both sound better to me. It's just the first thing that popped into my head.)
