Bike? Oh, yes! You don't ride it much, but... oh crap, where are the keys? You check your desk drawers quickly. Nothing. Crap. The bike's locked up on the rack around the side door downstairs, but there's no time to look for the key. Guess you'll have to sprint there. You run down the stairs and out the door, out onto the footpath between all the dorm buildings. Strange things, laid out all environmentally to catch as much sun as possible in the colder months, like today... but no time to think on that.
You run past the neighboring dorms, out of the housing area and into the main campus. There don't seem to be many people out, but then again, there never are before your 7:50 class. You can hear the crows out and about though, as they always are in the morning. Around the curve of the main path, across the bridge, past the engineering hall. Almost there, just another couple buildings to go. There are a few more people active around here, you have heard engineering classes tend to be earlier in the morning, after all. But no time to think on that now. Almost to your building. Why, looks like there's already an agitator of some kind out, and so early in the morning! What's that booth for? Blood donation? Something medical. But no time to think on that now. You burst through the doors.
Here you are! Just a few feet of hallway to go! Oh, bloody hell, and four flights of stairs. But then you remember the elevator, take it, tapping your feet and wiping your brow on the way up, and finally you arrive at your classroom, sweating and breathing heavily. And... there's no one else here? Well, crap. You'd failed to factor in your running speed, it seems, and you must be at least 12 minutes early, if there's no one else waiting. At least you'll have time to rest up a bit before the professor arrives.
