This was the absolute worst game of my childhood. At 99p it still felt over priced. It was a top down shooter where you tried to progress through some kind of maze populated by monsters, shooting them with a very underpowered gun from some kind of cctv camera come tank device. The cover does not convey the horror contained in the game.

A quick googleing reveals that Gryzor was the Japanese Contra. That explains the extra tentacles.

FUCKING LASER LORDS

This is a rather obscure Phillips CD-i game (the same CD-i of MAH BOI fame). This game... Its just overall weird and trippy. You're some human from earth who is kidnapped by a weird deity star lord thing, which is the iguana guy on the cover, and you have to journey through several different planets to save the universe from another star lord who wants to condense all of the universe into a crystal for... Reasons?

The thing is, most of the game is fully narrated, and the characters are either represented by puppets of dubious quality and claymation.

Its... Just very strange. Its supposed to be a game for kids, but its full of thinly veiled (or not veiled at all) references to sex, prostitution, suicide, murder, decapitation, at least one instance of implied beastiality, masturbation, brain damage, sex toys, drug abuse, corruption, illegal gambling, terrorism and genocide.

What the fuck is that thing?

That is an overly-lightning-y version of the first enemy in that game that outright cheats, which you encounter in the first level. Your character cannot do what he is doing on the cover at all.

Having watched pretty much the whole thing, I can mostly tell you that town HP thing influences the chance of a successful training (along with stress, insofar as I could tell). If your HP bottoms out, you're probably going to fail that day (and regain a little HP).
