I'm having a bit of a problem with unwanted seeds. I have stockpiles set up for what seeds I want but the ones I don't want, usually from random gathered plants, keep getting put in bags and stored in any stockpiles that have 'bags and boxes' enabled. I have set up another stockpile for all the other seeds I don't use but this still means that lots of my bags are used up in the psudo-dump. Is there any way to counter this other than having to make lots of bags?

dump all the unwanted things into magma / dump magma onto all unwanted seeds

Lower the general seed cap of your fort. It's in d_init.

And then get rid of all the unwanted seeds. I suggest dfhack autodump because dwarves only dump one seed at a time and it is obnoxious.

But yes, as a matter of fact, you usually need more bags.

Cooking the seeds you don't want is a nice touch, as well.
