"Not used to being attacked directly?"

"No, the strength of that Shadow. The strong ones don't usually leave Achronos, yet that one nearly outright killed two of you....

I'll have to talk to our research department and see if they can figure out why. Did you guys get anything from it?"

"A tarot card, that Biraindo pocketed, 500 yen and..." she pulls out the chewing soul that she had been quietly acquired, "Whatever this thing is."

Kyousuke quietly resummons Michael and has his Persona scan the items.
"....it seems that piece of gum in your hands is a Chewing Soul. It regenerates your soul energy. Not unexpected- we've just restocked on them.

However....the tarot card.....huh.

It seems it's possible to use it on a Persona to....provide it a new skill. However, Michael tells me that none of you seem to be strong enough to use it.....and it seems to be matched perfectly to....wait, you say it's matched only to....the tarot card seems only to work for two Personae here; Samson and Kraken."

"Well, that's fortunate isn't it, Virgil?"

Virgil shrugs.
"Well, I suppose that's just the bees knees."

"Any way to tell what it'll do until we use it?"
As he says this he flicks the card over to Kyousuke, no point in Virgil holding onto it if he couldn't use it yet.

"No. I can tell you it's a physical skill of some sort that the Shadow had, but I have nothing else."

Giving Karma a chance to get it huh?  Clever.  I can't reasonably complain and it keeps Virgil from keeping it from Karma.  Asada mentally shrugs. Whatever, Karma shouldn't be able to catch up quickly enough.

"Anyway, any idea how that shadow managed to pull us into Achronus, I doubt any of us have been playing millennium in our off time."

"Once you have a Persona, a Shadow can target you much easier. It's how they know we move through the Labyrinth."

"Wait can this happen at anytime? Cause I need to know if need to start sleeping in bullet-proof armour."
