Groping around the air around him, Branson manages to grab Whaitere. "Oh, fuck me."  With a bit of effort and a lot of cursing, he finally frees his head from the persona's maw. He is now staring at his persona in a mix of disbelief and confusion. "The hell's this meant to be? It looks like a murderous bedsheet."

((The thing Perseus killed was the kētos/Cetus (roughly "sea monster, I think) of Ethiopia. Same concept, different myth. The Kraken comes from Norse mythology  . It would be weird for me to take a creature who is only known for getting killed.))

Virgil quickly strips off his jacket and shirt and then dons the vest. He quickly replaces his clothes and starts walking towards the door.
