"See? Like I said. The nerdy kid in the corner. Maybe we should take this time to do our homework? We can work together. You find the answers and I write them down, that sound fair?"
"I... only work on my own homework..."

"Tsk tsk. Studies have shown that if you work together, you learn the material better. It is also more fun, working alone can get dull. It is only right to work together! Here, we will start now. Ill show you how much better it is. Did you bring the homework we are supposed to do Friday?"

"I mean, I don't think it's marketing, but seeing as the devs are probably rich and kinda dicks, it's always a possibility - just send a bunch of tangentially related cards and stir up a bit of publicity or something."

"Then the solution is to turn the conversation to something more interesting. Like literally anything else. Even homework, at this point..."

"Nope."
Asada smirks a little, it's probably the first major change in her expression you're seen thus far.

"Don't you want to excel? As I said before, even if you doubt it is fun, it is still better than studying alone. Working smarter isn't a bad thing, don't you agree? Besides, once you try it out once I am sure you will have fun. Even if you don't, you lose nothing but time right?"

"Sure, how 'bout the new teacher then? I'm sure there'll be plenty of things to discuss."

"The Sub? She will probably be gone by tomorrow."

Hits Karma on the head with the comic again, rubbing it around to muss up his hair.

"If you put half as much effort into actually doing your homework as trying to get the answers off other people, Karma, you'd be the highest achieving student in school.

I wouldn't be too sure about the sub, though. She seemed like she was settling herself in for the long haul. She was totally trying to set the ground rules with you today, man.

"'Sides, they aren't especially popular. Don't even stand out. Even the thugs are more professional than them."
Virgil shrugs.

"You care about academics right? Then isn't it only right to do everything you can for it? Besides, at this point, you have the choice of either studying with us or listening to those two babble on about cards and the Sub. I believe you will make the obviose choice..."

Karma withstands the paper assault without even looking towards it, while pulling out his homework. Should we change that guy's weapon to "Comic Books"?

"Hey, you can join too. More people means more fun, and more accurate answers. We can have a study group, not like we have anything better to do.

Of course the sub wants it to look that way. I mean, it isn't like she said she was permanent to anyone but me right? She probably just thinks she can scare me into inaction by pretending to be a permanent teacher."

"You forgot the choice of completely ignoring you and your answer fishing techniques. I'm quite happy to not involve myself in your "studying", thank you very much.

You better hope the sub isn't permanent. She was all over your ploys like she was in your head the entire time, man; it was awesome!
" :))

((that actually sounds like a good idea change my weapon from an oar, to a rolled up comic book. Preferably one that has not been drooled on...)

"Tsk, your the one who distracting me from my work. As you can see, I am trying to do my homework while you are over there playing with comics.

No teacher has yet defeated my legendary fourth defense! I don't think I even had to get this far before. A teacher like this would only be a challenge to overcome, a dragon I must slay! My pranks are the pranks that shal prank the heavens!"

"Pfft, what work? The only reason you're even thinking about homework right now is because you can pump someone smart for the correct answers.

I'm not so sure about this teacher though. I'll at least be interested in seeing if you can surpass your best and actually defeat this so-called dragon.

So long as I'm not in the firing line, anyway...
"

((.....R....really?))

((given how much fuss I've made over the comic for pretty much the entirety of my post count in the game, versus a very obscure reference to rowing and one of a boat... yes, really :P))
