Cool, do I have to have in-depth character sheets, detailed backstory and long actions? Because that's what i've seen with things like this and I am horrible at those 3 things.

The idea would probably be to organise game times on the forum and then run it on Roll20.

Some sort of reasonably built character sheet would be nice, especially if we're running Pathfinder. No need for a detailed backstory, though, just a bit of info.

Sounds like a bit of work for one guy, as I'd see a bunch of greater deities down to some mortal doing metric shit tonnes of stuff all in one world. Would be fun to do dick around in several roles, might even make me learn Pathfinder rules  :P. If enough people mess around in this I would suggest a Co-GM unless your some sort of an identical form of Piecewise.

Of course. I wouldn't be running this solo. I'd die. :o

I really just don't like Roll20 and would prefer to keep my out of internet identity a personal thing, so if you're planning on keeping that idea, it's a no-go for me. Sorry.

Another vote for the god-fuelled technology idea. As for the machine gods...maybe? I'm kinda partial to the idea that the machine gods being the leftover tools of the creator deities that have become sentient. Other gods are just natural occurrences that are utterly mundane in the setting.

If roll20 were to be used, I don't think Rex would stoop as low to using Google hangouts. Roll20 has a simple type in text thing anyways, last time I checked.

But yeah, the god fueled machine thing sounds badass. It has my vote as well.

Well once you have a world, there is a wide variety of games and the like that can be run in it, assuming none contradict the setting directly.

No reason a PbP (play-by-post) political intrigue couldn't occur simultaneously with a Roll-20 campaign.

I honestly don't understand. :p

I mean, this is my Roll20 account.

There's no personal information there.

Unless he means Hangouts or Skype.
But I have a game-skype account myself. It's what any self-respecting anonophile does.

Eh, the Sunless sea has the Echo Bazaar and the Dawn Machine.
That's about as cool as it gets with god-machines.

However, I do like the idea of putting-gods-in-machines.
Slice 'em up real fine, toss them in a golem.
Don't let the slices get too big, or they'll start thinking, and once they start thinking, they'll start remembering.
That's a path that NOBODY wants to go down. Except I guess the gods.

I'm sorry, but it is my choice whether I want to play it.
Goodbye. :(
You know what, i'll think about it. just don't know.
The best way to describe my aversion to it is that I simply suck at D&d-esque games and I don't really have the time to learn it. So if I get to learning it then I may try and play but for now I can't.

You can tell that most people aren't here 'cos they wanna play DnD.
We're all just having fun making the world.

That's the point of this thread.

O.K. I may just be able to help in world building. It would be fun if it was a play by post but if you want to keep the roll20 idea who am I to stop you.
