OK, I retook 87,5; he didn't leave a garrison there either.

No garrisons at the 2 he took from IPC.  I didn't deal with them at the moment.  They we never ceded to the kingdom, so I can't claim to be retaking them.  If you want me to pick them up, I will, but I figure that is your call.

IPC hasn't been active for months, so it should be fair game to work out what we want to do with the fortresses.

For now I'd say not to retaliate directly in the north, it's likely that StormTroopers was actually testing whether we are responsive or not to attacks. Promptly recapturing stuff should actually make him less interested in attacking. the #1 limited resource for players is actually real-life time, so any strategy that makes screwing with us too time-consuming to bother is the best defensive strategy.

BTW I checked out some of the Starberinde cities in the southern edge, they all seem to have NPC mayors. So it might be just a fluke that 4 of them switched to Starberinde at the same time. So the cities flipping is nothing to worry about after all.

I'm also starting to survey the castles in the south that I don't own. quite a few of them no longer have garrisons there, so I'm thinking of shifting my extra guys from up north to fill those in.

EDIT: up north now, starting to clean up the mess. have surveyed empty castles up east edge of map, and will reorder my garrisons to fill in some gaps. BTW I'm thinking of adding automatic mayor updating to the javascript, and will probably think about trying to get this working for garrisons parties too.

Just put a garrison at the empty castle at (87,25)

I plan on putting a garrison at (96,34), (93,13) and maybe (91,15)

I'll check on IPC's garrisons at (93,17) and  (95,15) when I'm next up there.

Blessith kingdom dropped out of the game. I went and razed many empty castles, because better than Staberinde getting them.

I've spent most of my money on upgrading the armor on my garrisons and training new (unequipped - for now) warm bodies.  Will have to do dungeon crawls for a while before I put a garrison at (91,15).  It looks like (77,31) is ours as well and didn't have a garrison when I passed through.  I'll get to that one too, if someone else (hopefully one of us) doesn't get to it first.

as noted on the map, (93,13), (87.25) and (96,34) are now garrisoned

Finally, I have one more mayor slot available.  (93,15) Diverwich, (83,22) Archersguard, or (80,30) Helmham are the natural next targets.  Any preference?

I'm going to wait a few days before doing anything.  I want to rebuild my gold reserves before training more cannon fodd...brave soldiers

I have another city slot too. Where you want to put yours is pretty much your call, we have a large gap between us. Basically work out whichever one allows you to most efficiently manage your stock of cities.

I'll drop you some money to help pay for gear, let me know which city to send it to. I made a lot of money by selling off the garrisons in my cities. Now all the taxes just pile up instead of paying for guards who are basically useless. Some days I run around and pick up a couple hundred thousand gold!

EDIT: script updated:

http://jgame.net.au/kingdoms/crownofconquest.user.js

Version 1.05. Should automatically update of prosperity, mayor and kingdom as well as the blacksmith stuff now. So the new script is updating all the actual fields we have on the map for cities so far.

Flyingzone (88,45) would be best.  I'll be going there next session to see if the blacksmith is still there.

Thanks, very helpful.

Note about the map.  I am trying to click on the square at (66,31) to log the Fort (level 2) owned by "Men of Siege" there, but it pops up a city named Sartain instead of the wilderness form.  All the squares surrounding (66,31) work as normal.  Side note: I thought I visited every city on the map at least once, and Sartain is not in my landmarks list.

Edit (on 6/2/15): I garrisoned and upgraded the fort at (77,31) to a castle, but it is still claiming as a fort.  Don't have time tonight, but when I do have time, I'll move the garrison and seize the castle, then cede it again later and see if that fixes the problem.  Helmham (80,30) is now in my control.  I'll declare it part of the kingdom after my mayor has a little popularity -- I've had a few rebellions occur in the past when I declared for the kingdom while I still had relatively low popularity.  I had to conquer Hagglade at least 2 times before it stuck, and they rebelled the last time as well -- the rebels lost that time.

Yeah I had to modify the map's php to accomodate some improvements (I split the list of cities out into it's own table) and it minorly broke something to do with deleted locations (which I left actually on the map so you can undelete them easily). All that's happening is that delete map locations have this spurious name attached. I'll look into why that's the case.

It was a minor issue and you can just click submit to make the site appear as normal.

But I just looked into it and fixed it anyway. it turns out where I modified it I wasn't setting the name variable for deleted sites (looks like I just forgot to do that for that code branch), and it was taking the last player "name" from where it checks each cell to see whether players are located there. Sartain just happened to be the last player name processed for some reason. It's fixed now.

Now, it will say "Deleted: Site" as the title for those.

Just updated the plugin.  It seems to be updating the prosperity, mayor, and kingdom in addition to the blacksmith info.  I like.  Did I miss anything?

No, that's it for now. It's updating everything we have as actual fields in the database now. If you have any requests for info to pull out then let me know.

BTW, God-like blacksmith at Downstad (63, 89) now.

Staberiende siezed the unceded castles but left mine alone, for now.  I nuked the castles he took to be done with them.  Will bebuild what is needed later, when I can garrison them

By unceded castles you mean empty ones or just the ones that I grabbed back the last time?

I recent came across a minor glitch. Occasionally when you make a garrison, it makes two garrisons in the same location. It could be lag related or something. I had it happen before but removed the extras. I just had it happen again now. What I'm going to do is stick a tower + barracks on that square and test whether the XP gain works for both "garrisons" in the same location. Also, the "top" garrison in the stack is empty and has literally zero characters. I'm not sure how that would affect battles. Is it even possible to attack a garrison with no characters? If not, then it might make this an unconquerable square if you only stick characters in the bottom garrison.

3 of the 4 castles that IPC had built around Diverwich (93,15) and the castle at (96,24) that Pastry Pirate build and garrisoned, but never ceded to the kingdom.  The 4th castle around Diverwich was garrisoned with my troops and ceded to the kingdom.  He left that one alone.  The castles I destroyed didn't have much in the  way of runes and no barracks/markets so I didn't feel too bad about the razing of them.

edit: I had something weird happen when I was moving garrisons.  It was telling me I couldn't place a garrison because one was already there, but I couldn't put characters into the empty garrison.  I had to delete the garrison in order to create a working one.  My version of the bug was more annoying than useful. :)

further edit: reread first paragraph and determined it was a semantic mess.  rewrote it for clarity
