It's the protector of the Overworld from Maori mythology which mainly does it's job by threatening to murder people using its divine magic if people over-fish.

Well no, it does the whole "make the ocean envelop people" routine first. And when they're drowning asks them to accepts its terms before it kills them all.

Good god.

Nope~ Personally I prefer inanimate objects and thought experiments. But I couldn't find any of the former that was suitable for Branson and I don't think the latter is allowed.

She didn't kill them all, nerd.
Or threaten to.

I never said it went through with it. Though considering there was someone at the bottom of the ocean, drowning, I don't think they would have lived if they refused.

Well, yes.
But having someone teach their people not to fuck with the ocean and such and threatening to kill all of them are not the same thing.

Come to think of it, Kraken could just grab everyone with it's tentacles whilst they perform a drive-by. Though that has the issue of requiring people to trust Karma.

Wait, does sealing prevent guarding? Or is it just less effective?

Sealing only locks your Skills, you can defend just fine.

Now, if they were to ACTION-Bind you....you're stuffed.

I would find this to be very unfair :P 'spesh since my Fear attack worked one of three times.

Unless we can do it to them too, anyway...

Isn't that what Fear is?

I suppose the trade-off is that they have more accurate status effects, but PCs can dispel them.

Did my Fear fail because it was already active on another enemy, byrraway? That never actually occurred to me until now... or was it just RNG?

Binds are far worse than that, trust me. At least Fears have a chance of being able to attack anyway.

Binds give no chance.

RNG. You can fear multiple enemies and there is a move that can do that, which is subject to the same 'lessening accuracy' effect Ma-spells are.
