Well, at least enemies don't have some sort of Metabolize ability that converts damage from a source into SP rather than HP

Come to think of it, assuming enemy attacks are split overall 50/50 between Magical and Physical, a defensive passive against a certain type of physical is probably superior by a slight degree to a defensive passive against a certain type of magical seeing as there are less physical types thereby making it more likely for an attack to be countered by the passive. Unless the character in question has significant physical defenses anyway that is.
