Well, I assumed everyone did what I did and looked at the wiki for persona to find what tarot their character would fit in.

Example, Virgil is stoic and of strong will since that's the tarot's archtype.

I looked up what the motiffs mean on Wikipedia and TV tropes. Though it looks like the wiki says pretty much the same thing they do, so I *should* be good.

Sorry to be annoying here, but I do think Magician Arcana would fit well with Death n' Sun, because the wiki puts it as being good w/ Magic > . >

Wait, is the tarot meant to represent who they really are, or how they act? Because I assumed the latter since I figured that if a persona is basically a "mask" for social interactions, it would be more appropriate in my opinion at least.

Name: Nana Tachibana
Gender: Female
Age: 16

Description: Nana stands at 5'2", and is physically unintimidating, being pretty thin. Her hair is a pale brown color, quite straight, and goes down to her shoulders, where it splays itself. Her eyes are also brown, though they are so dark that they might as well be black. She's relatively neat with her hair and clothing (though not excessively so), though she wears her school uniform pretty much unadorned. Outside of that, she tends to wear clothing of dark blue or light color. Though she seems confident enough when moving or doing something, her posture turns skittish and crossed on itself when she's talking with other people.

Other (I wanted to describe her personality): Nana at first glance might seem an annoyingly perfect sort, seeming to have a talent in almost everything she puts an effort into and getting great test scores. However, this isn't as much the case as one would think; Nana is utterly god-awful when it comes to people. Terribly shy, she's also quite naive and can't ever seem to find the words to properly interact with people... It does take some pressing to get her to talk.

Weapon of Choice: Needles. She's a teenager, not an armory owner :p

Description: Rather human-looking, Chione is a nymph of average human height, though she has a pair of wings, made of feathers all but frozen together. She has pure white hair that is shoulder length and is pretty much frozen too, being lined with snow. She is clothed in a white cloak, (usually somewhat billowing), and just as snow-covered as the rest of her. A cold wind surrounds her.

(PS, I'm thinking you may have meant to make fire weak to Wind, as Wind is currently not strong against anything and it's a second lightning weakness. Sorry to be a jerk about things like that, but that might actually be important.)

Also, it's somewhat misleading; at least in persona 4, personas appear when they've come to terms with the parts of themselves they don't want to acknowledge, meaning I assumed it's the former.

Well, it actually depends on the tarot. Like, people with the death card tend to have big problems but the magician is normally the protagonists bestie. Magicians also tend to have bed times when it comes to romance.

Okay now I'm really confused. So are the Tarots meant to be based off of what a game says about them, or what wikipedia and other sites say about them? Are persona and shadows actually what their Jungian definitions are, or are they just named after them? >__<

I figured we were going off whatever the games say since that's the source material.

Okay, in that case, I'll modify Branson's characterization so that the dichotomies are more evident as appropriate to the tarot. Wait, then wouldn't Hanged Man get a boost to a defensive statistic and a penalty to an offensive statistic seeing as they "are commonly Personas excelling in survivability".
