Hah! I finally found the game of the series I played! It was "shin megami tensei imagine", an MMO version by Cave. Can't remember much of it, but the attack names seem familiar  :P.

I remember it being fun too. I looked it up just for a shot of nostalgia, but apparently the English server died almost exactly a year ago. Oh well.
