Also apparently monsters come in different sizes?  Does that have any actual (cosmetic or otherwise) effects or is it just a number?
Take note, sometimes after you kill them and after collecting your rewards it tells you that you just hunt'd a new record in Longest or Shortest Monster.

It's about 2/3rds a second worth of invincibility frames, which is about how long the lance hop lasts.

Well, evasion +3 is still silly sounding with dual blades. If you have stamina juice, you can spam dash in demon mode for a lot of invisibility with pulses of vulnerability.

As a dual blades user that has tried evasion I can assure you that evasion really doesn't help with the dashes, because dashes come out extremely quickly but really are only good for positional dodges. If you want to evade as DB, just put your weapon away and jump-dodge, since dual blades has a really fast sheathe and unsheathe already.

Some monsters can be visibly smaller or larger than others of their kind. It also affects the size of their hitbox.

Yeah, one of the DLC quests has you fighting a mini Tetsucabra.

I didnt see that one but theres also the quest for the Poogie King weapon that has you fighting a tiny Yian Kut Ku. It was pretty fun to fight since its about the size of a velociprey but hits really hard.

Which path do you think I should upgrade my weathered spear? Skyscraper or Teostra's?

Teostra, simply because there are many better choices for dragon lances, i.e. all of them except the rusted one. Lack of purple and the lowest raw are what make it worse than the other options IMO. Dragon weapons have so many good alternates: Gore/Shagaru, Stygian, Fatalis (normal and some of White's weapons.. these will be huge pains to get though), and I guess Jho kind of.

Right, I forgot Megala was a thing in this game. Still, kind've amazed they just practically hand you a dragon element weapon so early.

Artillery God and gunlance is like seriously bullshit at low ranks. Eat veggie/milk to cancel out seltas set's weakness and become a literal tank.

I've decided I love the felynes.  The noises they make are hilarious, especially the long "maaaaaaow!" when they're running after you.

Why are they called palicoes though?  Also how important is it for them to have gear?  Is it worth bringing my second Palico along naked cause I don't have any more gear for it?
