Are you talking about Gypceros?

I can help you, shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Yeah, every random group I join online is full of doofuses.  Like, don't know to stop attacking once someone is mounted, take ALL the supplies for themselves, stand still and get hit, cannot think far enough ahead to capture an enemy...  I assume once I get into HR2 that the noobs who can't capture will be weeded out and it'll be slightly better players.

Every HR has plenty of noobs. They are very hard to avoid if you play with randoms.

We don't really need to exchange friend codes as you can join via easier ways. And we can exchange it in game at a press of a button.

I'm not at home right now. If you have Steam just add me and we'll link up when I get back. Then we'll make monster souffle.

I added you to my friends list thing. For some reason I heard listing your friend code online was a bad thing but I dunno why considering that you have to share codes between each other to even add each other.

I haven't played in a couple days but I can pick it back up to play with some people, get more HR's. I'm only HR 3 at the moment.

BUt yeah, if you know the code to the online gathering hall you're in you can invite people to it and add them that way.

I play regularly when I'm able.  And I hope we somehow get people together to play.  For being what the game is, not many people seem interested in grouping up, and all the random groups are just scrubs...

I'll help out, if I can find an effective way of communicating, should we just use the irc listed? Normally when I've played with others online I've either been sent or I've sent the gathering hall ID and password then play.

edit, I guess irc is the way to go for communicating

My copy doesn't come until the middle of March, I'm pretty bummed.

Playing MH1 on emulator to tide me over, god I forgot about all the weird ugly design decisions they made, hoping it's better in the new one.

Egg missions.  Who thought that was a fucking good idea?

Less of a problem but still annoying, monsters despawning so fast if there's more than one in an area you can only loot one.  Likewise trying to loot a big wyvern in the minute before the mission ends while velociprey knock you around.

I guess this is a problem with my blithe playstyle more than with the game itself, but fighting big monsters in areas full of other monsters is annoying.  I died to a mosswine once while fighting a gypceros.

Yes, it's quite alright. I just got a new one because my shoulder buttons were breaking after 5 years. The second stick does help but it can get unwieldy if you don't press on it very hard.
