spikes != blades. They'd be angled towards the tip of the finger, so on the way on the only resistance would be a smooth angled-away surface, but on the way back off it would be a point trying to tear into the top millimeter or two of skin.

That makes more sense but it would still be nearly impossible to get it far enough onto the finger that it tears off much skin coming back. There is way to push it far enough on that it tears into the skin itself, and even if it was angled, it wouldn't be able to take that much off. If it was stuck, it wouldn't cause any pain because, as I said, the ring can't be pushed on far enough to actually stab the person.

Now if they were retracting spikes...they would have to be very small (smaller than the ring is thick). Unless they stuck out from the other  side and GrizzlyAdamz didn't realize before putting it on.

Granted. Unfortunately, his claims go unheeded by the modern workman and he the entire Lenin series is scrapped.
