Granted. You get a box in mail addressed to you. It's awfully heavy. You open the box and pull out a wonderful sheathed sword. It's pretty long and has unadorned, solid, black hilt. In fact, it almost seems to suck some of the light from the room.

A scrap of paper flutters to the floor:
    The Tyrant's Blade no blood hath spilled
    But doth the spirit carve
    Soulcutter hath no body killed
    But many left to starve.

With your interest piqued, you draw Soulcutter: the sword of despair, the tyrant's blade from it's scabbard.

You no longer go on archive binges when you find something interesting, as you no longer find anything interesting.



I wish that anyone who isn't familiar with Soulcutter go read some classic fantasy.

Bam, the next release is called Dwarf Fortress v 1.00. Sure, it is still full of bugs, and not nearly as awesome as the plans for it used to be, but hey, it's done! Development stops.

I wish that the responses in the wish thread were less adding things to the wish to make them bad and more creative use of the original wish to interpret it literally, but in a bad way.

Granted, but I wasn't clear on the difference before the change, so now they're all bad corruptions.

I wish for a computer that doesn't poop out on me when playing minecraft.
