I wish I had a working suit of power armor.

It works. However it's automatic and doesn't let you do anything. Soon you're off on a mission to SAVE AMERICA (tm) on which you are killed.

The power armor survives and completes the mission, and gets all the rewards.

I wish I could think of a better crappy storyline for the above Saga of the Power Armor.
