Your mighty spearwife leaves you, and you fall into a deep depression, drinking like a dwarf (except you don't have an iron liver) and doing drugs as if you are the bottom dregs of Boston. You get into a fight at a bar one lonely, sad night (in fact the 33th sad night in a row), and are stabbed repeatedly in the stomach and intestines, then left to rot in a pile of horse manure behind the tavern. You don't bleed out immediately, though, oh no. Your stomach acid burns your wounds, and your excrement infests it. Soon maggots are chewing away at your flesh. You are slowly consumed, your vision blotted out by the halo of flies that surround you.

I wish I didn't imagine maggots feasting on the flesh of a living person so much.
