It should suffice to say that Ravenloft's Dark Powers, Greyhawk's Serpent, aka. Vecna's buddy, and Overlord of Hell, Planescape's Ladyof Pain, Krynn''s Highfather and Forgotten Realm's Lord Ao and Three Faced Sun Heresy are all "cosmic entities", overdeities and whatnot. Funny fact, the Lady is not by any means an unrelenting force when dealing with a similar being, Vecna, by then a Greater Deity, managed to break into Sigil, even when she had taken measures to prevent Gods from doing so, and nearly wrestled its control from her, probably helped by the afore mentioned serpent.
