Granted, it's both, but no one uses versa vice.

I wish I had ten Boston terriers.

That could fly.

But couldn't fly away.

Your wish is granted, but when you you fly out to Antarctica on business, they are unable to follow, left flying unattended around your house in tiny circles, destined to end up in some restaurant's meat locker. You watch through the window of your plane as a tear runs down your face. You try to shield your face from the air hostess, who is looking on concerned.
"Can I help you, sir?" She asks.
"No. No..." You reply. "I've just lost my dogs, is all. I'll never see them again."
As the enormity of your plight hits you, you burst into tears. The plane crosses into International waters and you know you could just clone them again from the hair strands you took before you left, but it just wouldn't be the same... It wouldn't be the same...

I wish real life was like a movie. And not just any movie. A funny movie. But not a funny movie with Adam Sandler.

Granted, it has Robin Williams, Drew Carrey, and Jason Lee.  Society collapses under the weight of the sheer suck of that movie.

I wish Alvin and the Chipmunks, Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader, all movies containing members of the Blue Collar Comedy... group, Nickelback, Seether, and America's Funniest Home Videos were all removed from existence, with no way to return.

Granted, but without the competition, Dane Cook takes over all the major television networks.

I wish this slice of pizza had just slightly less pepperoni on it.

I wish there was a system for converting rabbits into chocolate bunnies from HELL.

Granted, but global warming causes a heat wave which melts them all.  You slowly drown in the ensuing puddle of chocolate.

I wish I hadn't wasted any of my time coming up with this wish, and had instead turned off the computer and gone to bed.

Granted, to the opposite you in Mirror Land, who wished for his wish to be corrupted. Unfortunately he's quite disappointed, as his wish was fulfilled exactly as he stated it, but that makes him happy because he likes to be sad.

Granted, in that you are fired from your job or expelled from your school and blacklisted, preventing you from finding employment/education for the rest of your life.

Unfortunatly, as you mastert the working of a tie the art of tie tieing is lost in eternity! Now it is up to you to re-teach us all the magic of tieing a tie. As you can imagine, lots of people want to learn it.

Thus you are stuck with a problem: Do you persue your dreams and goals, or do you continue to educate the world for money? With this knowledge in such high demmand, you can either choose one or the other.

Granted, you grow 21 hard chitin lumps on your back. You no longer fit into any of your tops, and you can't be seen in the general public without someone calling animal control.
