I wish the Spore demo was the full creature creator and free.

Granted. But it's also a vicious malware that infects your computer without fail (WITHOUT FAIL) and performs only two nasty functions:

First, it is completely impossible to erase or alter, and it transfers to any electronic device or other form of computer you use.

Second, it completely prevents you, and you alone, from accessing any communications device more complex than a pair of cans tied together with string. This means you may no longer watch TV, access the Internet, listen to the radio, or use any device capable of doing those things. Which includes any computer powerful enough to run Spore in the first place.
