Granted, but huge populations of people (having been converted into gaseous mostly-high-energy-plasma beings) are routinely ejected into space during magnetic reconnection events. Everyone wants to know who or what is responsible for the change, as they hate it. (The sun smells somewhat of burning metal filings, is always bright, so sleeping is near impossible, and aside from being blasted into space via the afore mentioned mechanism, space exploration is now impossible. Technology is not possible, because it cant survive on the sun. This leaves the people with VERY VERY little to do, and as such, they are perpetually crabby.)
