You find the courage, but everyone thinks your work is really bad.

I couldn't think of a wish, so I grabbed a book next to me and decided to wish for the first noun I saw. Therefore, I wish for "materials". It's pretty lucky, my eyes landed less than an inch from the possibility of wishing for elasticity. That probably would've been messy.

Okay. The universe violently lurches through spacetime, uh, space, and lands in a slightly different configuration where I wished for elasticity. I'm now a world-famous superhero with elastic powers. Under the guise of fighting crime, I secretly rule the world with a rubber-fisted hegemony. You are quickly identified as a potential wrongthinker and disposed of.

I wish for momentum. And maybe a book to choose words from that isn't about physics because this could get dangerous fast.
