Granted, we are gathered here today in memory of Gud, the family dog. He may have been a mutant misshaped thing, but we loved him while we had him. He had a good life, considering how he was, and we did our best to make what little life he had as comfortable as we could before he passed away. We wish him well, and will miss him.
