Granted. After much discussion, the two begin to make a fusion version of their respective projects. The new game is a huge project, and promises to be one of the greatest classic fantasy games of all time. However, due to feature creep, it never gets into a playable state that would live up to expectations. Funding dries up soon after contributors realize this, and both developers abandon the project. In the meantime, their respective games have lost all development, set back by years, and have no income base for their continuation to be viable.

Darkness reigns.
