That "corruption" is more of the "You didn't wish not to be set on fire" variety, IMHO.

Oh, and granted, but the genie isn't really bright and is a bit hard of hearing. He does his best, but hilarity inevitably ensues when you ask for a wish, often dangerously.

Stupid ninjas. Granted, but you need to spend much of your lifespan to do so.
